How to Restore and Maintain Fuel Injector Performance and Efficiency

Fuel injectors are the heart of the fuel system and keeping them in peak condition is crucial for accurate fuel delivery. Here are 5 reasons why we recommend a Flow and Clean service during the off-season:

  1. Combat Fuel Quality Issues

Racing fuels, while designed for performance, often contain impurities that can form deposits in the injector over time. These deposits can affect injector efficiency and reduce fuel flow. Cleaning ensures these deposits are removed, restoring your injectors to like-new condition.

  2. Corrosive Fuels

Many race fuels contain additives that can be corrosive to the injectors. This corrosiveness can significantly impact the reliability and performance of the fuel injectors. This corrosion can be especially destructive when fuel sits in the injector for extended periods.

  3. Remove Contaminants (FOD)

Dirt, debris, rubber, and other contaminants can enter the fuel system, causing injectors to stick or malfunction. A professional cleaning service helps prevent these issues, reducing the risk and inconvenience of an injector failure caused by FOD.

  4. Prevent Wear and Tear

Cleaning and flowing them regularly as part of preventive maintenance helps prolong their lifespan, saving you money in the long run and keeping your engine in top shape.

  5. Preparing For Storage

A Flow and Clean service is a great way to clean and lubricate the injector while they are not in use for extended periods.
HP Race Brands can perform a flow and clean service on most fuel injector brands and styles and provide valuable data with a fast turnaround time.

Common fuel injector brands we can service, include:**

Standard vs. Advanced Service

We offer two levels of service to meet your needs:

  • Standard Service ($20 per injector + return shipping): Includes flow testing at AFIS standard parameters (43.5 psi, 16 Volts, 6000 rpm, 80% Duty Cycle). You'll receive detailed flow data at 80%.

  • Advanced Service ($30 per injector + return shipping): Customized testing based on your specific criteria for Fuel Pressure, Voltage, RPM, and pulse width. Flow data is provided at your specified pulse width, along with Idle and Static conditions for a comprehensive analysis.

Choose the option that best fits your performance goals. Don’t let clogged or inconsistent injectors hold you back when it matters most. Contact us today to schedule your injector flow and clean service and be race-ready!
